Packing for a camping trip is easier when you sort your gear by job: cooking, light, sun cover and power. This checklist explains what to check before you buy and points to five items from our store.
What to look for
- Stove: think about how many people you cook for. Check how the stove folds, what is included in the box and which option you are selecting. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions and local fire rules.
- Cookware: match the set to the size of your group. Compare the listed dimensions and weights with the space in your pack, and check which pieces come with the option you choose.
- Light: look at how the light charges, how many lighting modes it has, and its size and weight.
- Sun cover: measure around your head and compare it with the listed size. Check which parts can be removed.
- Power: count the devices you bring and the ports or cables they need. Read capacity and charging figures as manufacturer ratings.

Cookware set for 2–3 people
The camping cookware set is a lightweight aluminum set for 2–3 people, for frying and boiling outdoors, with a nonstick interior and plastic handles with a non-slip design. Bucket hat with face and neck cover
The bucket hat with shawl and face cover is described on its product page as an anti-UV summer hat for outdoor hiking and fishing, and its face and neck cover is removable.
